Nyûburiten kôryaku hajimaru [New Britain invaded].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to New Britain, Bougainville, Huon Peninsula, Lae and Salamaua. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The leaflet reports the commencement of the Allied landing on New Britain and also mentions the fierce bombing of Japanese positions on New Britain prior to the landing and defeat of the Japanese in New Guinea.
