Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Japan-Formosa and Melanesia. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. Chinese characters for constitution are not correct. The message first discusses the background to the compilation of the Japanese Constitution on 11 February and states that the nation flourished under the Constitution. The second half of the message then deplores the situation for the past 13 years under the regime heavily influenced by the military. The message stresses that genuinely patriotic people are mourning the present situation on the third Constitution Day since the beginning of the Greater East Asia War.
