RPG 7 Rocket Launcher
Description
The RPG-7 is a shoulder fired, single shot, smoothbore recoilless launcher made from tubular ordnance steel, with a wooden lined rear tube and firing grips. Grenades are loaded from the front. The rear of the barrel is fitted with venturi nozzle. The RPG-7 uses a mechanical ignition system which is manually cocked by an external hammer. The trigger is single action. Serial number 758
History / Summary
The RPG 7 rocket launcher was the standard infantry anti tank weapon issued to the Iraqi Army. This weapon was confiscated by Australian forces serving in Iraq in 2006.
