Studio portrait of 657 Corporal (Cpl) Thomas William Errington, B Company, 8th Light Horse Regiment, of Fryerstown, Vic, holding a trombone. A blacksmith prior enlistment he embarked aboard HMAT Star of Victoria (A16) on 25 February 1915. Cpl Errington died of wounds during the Turkish attack at Es-Salt on the slope of the hill facing the Amman Road on 3 May 1918. His name is recorded on the Jerusalem Memorial, Palestine.
