RPG 7 Al Nasirah Rocket Launcher RPG 7
Description
The RPG-7 is a shoulder fired, single shot, smoothbore recoilless launcher made from tubular steel. Grenades are loaded from the front. The rear of the barrel is fitted with venturi nozzle. The RPG-7 uses a mechanical ignition system which is manually cocked by an external hammer. The trigger is single action. Markings - 02025444 on front sight. NX1686 on the side of the telescopic sight.
History / Summary
The Al Nasirah rocket launcher is an Iraqi manufactured copy of the RPG 7 rocket launcher and was the standard infantry antitank weapon issued to the Iraqi Army during the Gulf War. This weapon was confiscated by Australian forces serving in Iraq in 2006.
