Nyûginia hômen no kôgun shôhei ni tsugu [To officers and men of the Japanese Army in New Guinea].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to New Guinea. The leaflet is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The message on the leaflet states that it is no longer possible for Japanese supply ships to reach New Guinea and the Japanese General Staff has abandoned the New Guinea campaign and soldiers there. The message stresses that surrendering under the given circumstances will not be any slur on the honour of Japanese soldiers.
