Gunshikin chôtatsu mokuteki no zôzei ni kansuru manga [Comic strip about increased taxes to finance the war].
Description
A propaganda comic strip produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. The leaflet is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The comic strip describes how another tax hike is received by ordinary Japanese people as well as Japanese military men in the South, and draws attention to the fact that no reinforcements are coming to the South despite the repeated tax hikes.
