Kôgun heishi ni tsugu [To officers and men of the Japanese Army].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Buna, Gona, Sanananda, Mubo and Wau. The leaflet is accompanied by an English translation of the text. It reports the defeat and surrender of the South Expeditionary Force in Buna, Gona and Sanananda, the death of Lieutenant General Horii, the defeat of the Japanese troops advancing from Mubo to Wau and deaths of Japanese soldiers from hunger in a jungle. It stresses that the Japanese are in a hopeless situation.
