Bisumaruku-kai kaisen ni kansuru dai 2 no chirashi [Second leaflet on the Battle of the Bismarck Sea].
Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Bismarck Archipalego, Guadalcanal, Buna and Gona. The leaflet is accompanied by an English translation of the text. It reports the retreats of the Japanese from Guadalcanal and the Buna area and the loss of warships and aircraft in the battle of the Bismarck Sea. The inability of the Japanese military leaders is blamed for the defeat. The message ends by urging Japanese soldiers to surrender and to live for the future of Japan.
