Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. The item is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia. An English translation of the text is attached. It reports the death of a Japanese painter, food shortages in Japan, defeats of the Axis countries in Russia and Africa, naval losses of Japan since the opening of the war and resentment to the Nazis in Europe. It also features poetry by the Japanese poet Issa.
