Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This item is written in Japanese and was distributed to New Guinea and Melanesia. An English translation of the text is attached. It reports the reinforced defence strength of Australia after the return of troops from Libya, successful air operations by Australia in New Guinea, problems with sea and road transport for the Japanese, and the defeats of the Axis nations in Europe, Russia and North Africa. There is also an article on Prime Minister Tojo's visit to China.
