Description
An unidentified person wearing protective clothing, using a high pressure hose to decontaminate a DAP Beaufort bomber aircraft at an unknown airfield, possibly Cairns. The twin engine Beaufort nose and cockpit is covered with a tarpaulin and secured with tape. The aircraft was used for testing the safety of flying a mustard gas contaminated plane and how much protective clothing and equipment was required by the crew. The tests were headed by 104057 Flight Officer Moira Lenore Shelton, chemist, from the 1st Field Trials Company, Royal Australian Engineers (RAE).
