Description

The gauge pressure 65 pound bomb L.C., shaped like a five gallon petrol can, was initially used by the 1st Field Trials Company for the Brook Island chemical trials. It was replaced by the American M47 standard mustard bomb for comparison and because the 65 pound bomb was in limited supply. Both bombs could push their way through the jungle canopy, burst on impact because of their thin casing and having no fuse or burster, spread chemical up to 25 by 10 yards.
