Description
Studio portrait of 4386 Private Bernard Thomas Doyle, 23rd Battalion, of Prahran, Victoria. A clerk in the Federal Department of Taxation prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 11th Reinforcements on RMS Malwa on 23 April 1916. He was killed, aged 20 years, at the Battle of Passchendaele on 1 October 1917.
