Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Salamaua, Darwin and Guadalcanal. An English translation of the text is attached. The message advises the Japanese forces of their actual losses in the recent battles at Guadalcanal, Darwin and Salamaua. It reports that 133 out of 203 Japanese planes used were destroyed, while the Allies lost only eight planes in these battles. The message emphasises the superiority of the Allied airmen and equipment.
