Description
A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Dutch New Guinea and Wakde Island. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet reports the destruction of the Japanese Air Force in Dutch New Guinea and on Wakde Island. It warns that the major Japanese base in Palau, a stepping stone to the Philippines, is now within 695 miles flying range of the Allied heavy bombers. There is a map of New Guinea printed on the back of the leaflet, which indicates the areas re-captured by the Australian and the US forces
