Description
A shield with a stylized Southern Cross. Surmounting the shield is the number, '3' in the centre of a Rising Sun with five rays. Flanking the shield are waratah blooms with scrolls containing the Latin motto, 'AMOR PATRIE' (Love of country'. At the base is a banner embossed 'AUST. INFANTRY'. On the reverse are two horizontally aligned lugs for securing the badge.
