Lapel badge: Aircraft Repair and Maintenance
Description
Oval shaped brass badge with gilt and enamel decoration. At the center are the gilded letters, 'AC' surrounded by dark blue enamel. This enamelled section is surmounted by a King's crown and has a pair of stylized wings at the sides. Below this is a small rectangular panel with the stamped inscription, 'NO.1169' highlighted in dark blue enamel. Bordering the badge is a dark blue enamel band with the inscription, 'AIRCRAFT REPAIR & MAINTENANCE'. The back of the badge has a small brooch clasp attached horizontally and the maker's name, 'SCHLANK', 'ADELAIDE'.
