Studio portrait of 2430 Private (Pte) Phillip Redding, 13th Battalion. Pte Redding was later a Prisoner of War in Germany, returning to Australia in 1919. His father Trooper George Redding, 8th Light Horse Regiment (8 LHR), was one of the oldest men in the AIF. At age 61 he was photographed by Captain Frank Hurley picking wild anemones near Belah in Palestine. See B01664.
