Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet reports the landings of the US and British forces on the coast between Cherbourg and Le Havre as well as at Calais in France. The message warns that the time for patriotic people in German-occupied Europe to strike back is approaching steadily and that the military clique in Japan will be left alone to fight the whole world. On the back of the leaflet is a map of England and the coastal part of France indicating the locations of the Allied landings in France.
