Description

A pictorial propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War and distributed to Melanesia, Netherlands East Indies and Central Pacific. The leaflet features pictures of Allied Forces landing on Saipan, destroyed Japanese aeroplanes and tanks, damages to the railroad, factories and a sugar mill, and interned Japanese soldiers having a meal. On the back of the leaflet is a map of the Asia-Pacific region indicating that the Japanese mainland, Taiwan, the Philippines and New Guinea are all within the reach of American bombers from Saipan. A list of the major Japanese bases captured by the Allied Forces is also included in the map.
