Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. The item is written in Japanese and was distributed to Rangoon, Borneo, Tarakan, Japan-Formosa and Okinawa. An English translation of the text is attached. It reports the return of peace to Europe, the fall of the Nazis, the situation on Okinawa, the air raids across the Japanese mainland, the landing of the Australian forces on Borneo and the conclusion of the war in Burma. The leaflet also includes a picture concerning the signing of the surrender document by the Germans and a picture showing a large number of German POWs.
