Saxon pickelhaube frontplate. The frontplate consists of a brass sunburst with a silvered wappen (coat of arms) for the Kingdom of Saxony imposed on it. The rays of the sunburst have been bent backwards

Collected by NX93640 Craftsman Thomas Sydney Turner who served with Army Water Transport, Royal Australian Engineers, during the Second World War. Turner enlisted on 25 March 1942 and was discharged on 8 January 1946.
