Studio portrait of 5156 Private Amor William Mundy, 1st Battalion, of Sydney, New South Wales. Son of Amor Samuel and Ellen Florence Mundy, of Leichhardt, New South Wales. An upholsterer prior to enlisting he embarked from Sydney aboard SS Makarini on 1 April 1916. He was killed in action in France on 22 July 1916, aged 23. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France. His brother 2245 Private George Albert Mundy died of wounds.
