"Only half way there!! Major Fred Evans, Canada (second from left) resting at Indian picquet at 14,000 ft.(Due to altitude sickness, he was unable to continue to SHEER peak, shown behind and above, which was at 16.498 ft). Captain (Capt) Barrie Newman, Australia, continued on to peak to do investigations on both sides of the Cease Fire Line (CFL). Note the exfoliated shale on mountain sides, down which Capt Newman descended by sliding all the way down back to this picquet after completing his investigations."
