Studio portrait of 235 Lance Corporal (LCpl) Victor Alfred Harris, 13th Machine Gun Company. A 19 year old gardener of Brisbane, Qld, at enlistment, he embarked from Sydney on HMAT Hororata (A20) on 2 May 1916. He later transferred to the 4th Machine Gun Battalion. LCpl Harris was killed in action 5 April 1918, aged 21 years.
