Painting '73
Description
Protest ikon featuring the well publicised image of the shooting of a Vietcong suspect by Saigon police rendered in an "art idiom" and placed in a commercial art world situation. The painting of the ikon is laid over daubs of paint, and is then attached with nails to a board with a hessian covering. The piece is framed with a wooden painted frame.
