Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Melanesia and the Netherlands East Indies. An English translation of the text is attached. This leaflet is probably a reprint of leaflet J200. The leaflet includes a picture of the Japanese Parliament House. The text includes a message supposedly sent to Japanese POWs in Australia from two Japanese members of the Diet and asks POWs to look after their health and not lose confidence in their abilities. The leaflet states that this message proves that avoiding a useless death in order to serve Japan in the future is the right thing for the soldiers to do. It urges the recipient to avoid dying in vain and to consider contributing to the future of Japan.
