Description

A propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. This leaflet is written in Japanese and was distributed to Palau Island, New Ireland, Rabaul, Dutch New Guinea and Wewak. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet targets Formosan men in the Japanese forces and urges Formosan soldiers to surrender to the Allied Forces so as to return to their country after the war. It guarantees that they will be treated kindly and provided with food and medical treatment. The leaflet features a large picture of Formosan POWs queuing for food and drinks.
