Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. The item is written in Japanese and was distributed to the Philippines, Leyte and Singapore. An English translation of the text is attached. The period it covers is between 5 and 12 November 1944. The leaflet reports on the operation on Leyte Island, the bombings of Singapore and Nanjing, and the war situation in Europe. It also discusses the speech made by Stalin, the re-election of President Roosevelt and the death of Wang Ching-wei. The leaflet includes a picture depicting the bombing of the Nicholas airfield in Manila.
