Senkyô shûhô [Weekly war news 20 November 20].
Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. The item is written in Japanese and was distributed to the Philippines, Biak and Brunei. An English translation of the text is attached. It covers the period between 20 and 24 November 1944. The leaflet reports the recent losses of the Japanese forces in the Philippines, the air raid on the Japanese naval base in Borneo, the sinking of Japanese ships by British submarines and the landings on Mapia Islands. It also discusses the war situation in Europe. The back of the leaflet has a picture of one of the Lancaster bombers which sank the Tirpitz.
