Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. The item is written in Japanese and was distributed to the Philippines, Luzon and Tokyo. An English translation of the text is attached. This issue is dated 29 January 1945 and reports the advance of the American troops on Luzon, the capture of the finest airfield in the Philippines by the Allies, the re-establishment of supply lines between China and India and the air attack on Tokyo on 27 January. The advance of the Russians to Berlin and the situation in Western Europe are also discussed.
