Senkyô shûhô [Weekly war news, 27 February].
Description
A propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office (FELO) during the Second World War. The item is written in Japanese and was distributed to Iwo Jima and Manila Bay. An English translation of the text is attached. Events covered by this issue are the bombing of Tokyo on 25 February 1945, the imminent fall of Iwojima, the occupation of Manila by the American forces, the capture of Burmese silver and lead mines by the Chinese forces, the Allied offensives launched in Germany and the fall of Breslau.
