Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX45598 Corporal James Boyle, 4 Reserve Motor Transport Company, Second Australian Imperial Force, Changi, Singapore, 1942-1945.
Wallet 1 of 1 – Consists of one notebook of Corporal James Boyle. This notebook was kept by Corporal Boyle while he was held as a prisoner of the Japanese in Changi prisoner of war camp between 1942 and 1945. This notebook contains shorthand copies of official orders, honour roll information, copies of poems by various authors, and lists of names and addresses of acquaintances.
