History / Summary
Associated with the service of NX42188 Captain John Holtham Hamon Massie, born 18 March 1920 in Sydney, NSW. Massie originally enlisted in the RAAF in September 1940 and was assigned the service number 402666. He was discharged from 3 RAAF Hospital on 15 July 1941 and transferred to the Army on 7 August, serving 1 Australian Air Liaison Section. Massie was killed in action in New Guinea on 18 August 1943.
