Servicemen celebrating Christmas Day at a camp in Tripoli. Left to right: unidentified; 609 Sapper (Spr) Wilfred 'Tom' Baker; 601 Sergeant Roy Sinclair 'Smithy' Smith and Private Stewart Doig. Baker, Smith and Doig embarked with the 3rd Signal Troop, 3rd Light Horse Brigade, from Melbourne, Victoria aboard HMAT Chilka (A51) on 1 February 1915 and served at Gallipoli, Egypt and the Middle East. Doig transferred to the Australian Flying Corps in 1918.
