A United States Air Force (USAF) technician, Sergeant 'Tank' Wherret, assisting 021511 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) (later Air Vice Marshal) Graham Wallace Neil, RAAF, to strap into a USAF OV-10A aircraft of the 19th Tactical Air Support Squadron (19th TASS), USAF. Sqn Ldr Neil conducted many dangerous forward air control missions from his base at Cu Chi.
