Figure for Kapyong diorama
Description
Paper pulp sculpture of an Australian soldier in the Korean War. The likeness was modelled on Sergeant Ray Norman Parry, who won the Military Medal at Kapyong. The soldier stands holding a rifle, with a shovel and crate of grenades at his feet. This figure was developed as part of a submission by artist Tim Kyle for the Kapyong diorama project in 2006.
