Description
Portrait of 6437 Private (Pte) Frank Edward Foreman, 10th Battalion, later transferred to 27th Battalion, of Thebarton, SA. A blacksmith prior to enlistment he embarked with the 20th Reinforcements from Adelaide aboard HMAT Anchises (A68) on 28 August 1916. Pte Foreman was killed in action 10 June 1918, aged 29. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France. His two brothers 3839 Pte Cyril William Ernest Foreman and 3334 Pte George Thomas Raymond Foreman were also killed in action.
