Studio portrait of 1780 Private (later Corporal) John Wadham Morgan, 30th Battalion, of Burwood, NSW. Son of John Wadham Morgan and Sarah O'Brien; husband of F. Morgan. A blacksmith prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Berrima (A35) on 17 December 1915. He was killed in action on 19 August 1918 in France, aged 30. He is buried in Assevillers New British Cemetery, France.
