Studio portrait of 1380 Private Arthur Boobbyer Jephcott 18th Battalion of North Sydney, NSW. Son of Edward A. and Agnes A. Jephcott, Alcester, Warwickshire, England. An electrical mechanic prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 25 June 1915. He was killed in action on 4 August 1916 at Pozieres, France, aged 25. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers Bretonneux Memorial, France.
