Studio portrait of 2191 Private Dennis Turner 19th Battalion of Burwood, NSW. Husband of Mary Ann Turner, of Daceyville, NSW. A cab driver prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Argyleshire (A8) on 30 September 1915. He was killed in action on 30 July 1916 in France, aged 35. He is buried in Gordon Dump Cemetery Ovillers-La Boiselle, France.
