Studio portrait of 4185 Pte Gregory Archie Flood, 4th (later 2nd) Battalion, of Paddington, Sydney, NSW. Son of the late George and late Elizabeth Flood of Narrandera, NSW. A farmer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Aeneas (A60) on 20 December 1915. He died, aged 26, on 24 July 1916 at the 44th Casualty Clearing Station in the field, France, of wounds received in action on 23 July 1916. He is buried in the Puchevillers British Cemetery, France.
