Badger, Neil Thomson (Flight Lieutenant, DFC, b.1916 - d.1944)
Description
Collection relating to 407161 Flight Lieutenant Neil Thomson Badger DFC. Collection consists of four letters written by Badger between August 1940 and March 1944; two letters regarding Badger's state as 'missing'; two condolence letters; one letter regarding his DFC; his pilot's training card; an individual flight record for April 1944; and his flying log book for 1940-1944 containing an instrument flight check form from 1944. Badger was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for 'exceptional skill and courage on numerous sorties', and was lost on operations over Dutch New Guinea on 8 May 1944.
