Captain Bidstrup and Captain Dalby discuss early drafts of Brune's book "Those Ragged Bloody Heroes". This includes Militia vs AIF, conscripts, promotions dispargement of 49th, comparisons between 49th and 53rd Battalions, physical and mental state of the men when they arrived in Port Moresby and the breakup of the 39th Battalion.
