Description
A sergeant stands at the door to a barracks room and hollers for a sleeping soldier, Edward "Teddy" Flood, to get up. Flood (272) went on to serve in the First World War as a gunner in the Siege Artillery Brigade. He was originally from County Kildare, Ireland, and enlited at the age of 41. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest on 18 April 1918, which he received the previous day, and is buried in Boulogne, France.
