Lt Mortimore discusses his experiences in Gona/Haddy's Village. He talks about the approach from Gona Mission; the terrain including swamps and sheets of water; B Company in the van; killing three Japanese officers; his positions around Haddy's Village and method of advance; Japanese opposition; sniping; using a grenade discharger; right flank; his experiences through the fall of Haddy's Village and comments on the Official History narrative for Haddy's Village.
