Studio portrait of 3696 Private John Percival Allan, 25th Battalion. An 18 year old mechanic of Gympie at enlistment, he embarked with the 8th Reinforcements on HMAT Kyarra. Private Allen was killed in action at Ypres, Belgium, on 4 October 1917.
