Studio portrait of 3138 Private (later Lance Corporal) Charles Willoughby Weston, 8th Light Horse Regiment (later 9th Mobile Veterinary Section, Australian Army Veterinary Corps). A horse breaker of Wandiligong, Victoria, prior to enlistment, Private Weston embarked on 31 January 1917 aboard HMAT Anglo Egyptian (A25). Lance Corporal Weston died of pneumonia on 28 October 1918, aged 38.
