Six Caribou aircraft of the RAAF Transport Flight Vietnam (RTFV) are parked together on the hardstanding just off the taxi way along with five silver South Vietnamese Airforce C47 (DC3) aircraft. This aerial photograph was taken sometime between 29 August 1964, after the arrival of the second batch of three Caribous, and before 18 November 1964 when A4-185 was lost at A Ro. A number of RAAF units eventually operated from this airfiled including the RAAF Transport Flight Vietnam, that became No 35 Squadron on 1 June 1966, No 9 Squadron and No 1 Operational Support Unit.
